Last night at about 6:45 the phone rang, I immediately said \”Di!\” and t’was 😉 She was ringing from home. She said their toilets (no electric or anything yet) were connected now but the other classrooms weren’t so they had people coming in and out to use the loos and it was absolute chaos, but they’d love to see me! About 2pm Friday 🙂

So at 2pm on the dot (my timekeeping worked for once! Usually we never allow enough time, it always takes longer to get me ready than either of us think) we arrived. Parked the car, signed in, negotiated through the hall, which was in use, and went outside. Behold the new classrooms! Not really any noticable difference from the outside, except for the addition of some ramps on the fire exits. Useful really, means if there’s a fire now I won’t be stranded! (The old ones had steps)

I was so nervous for days before, but it was ok once I was there. I met everyone (though actually I knew most of them – Sonia, Daniel, Joy and Rachael were there last year, Ashley joined them a few times at the end of last year and Thomas I met at Six Acres, so that just left three – Simon, Robert and Adam. Simon I met to say hello to at the end of last year and Adam was pointed out to me so it was just Robert I’d never seen) and we were all sitting round in a circle talking. First of all we all said \”Hello, my name is [insert name] and I like [insert thing]\” then \”Hello, my name is [insert name] and I don’t like [insert thing]\”. I couldn’t think of anything for either – my brain doesn’t work that fast! And I couldn’t tell you what I did say if you asked me now.

After that they had some time before assembly so we all had drink (orange squash) and biscuit. I was sitting there just thinking to myself (though I suppose I wouldn’t really be thinking to anyone else…) and Joy thrust a cup into my hand which was rather nice! Even better when she came back a few seconds later with a biscuit 😉

Oh! Di, Phil, mum & I were talking about Six Acres because Di was saying they all seemed to enjoy it, whatever they’d done. So I was telling them all about it. Anyway, it transpired that they’d heard all about my attack on Friday and they’d said I’d had a heart attack 😆 Just like young children, can’t have any secrets! Anyway Di knows enough about me to have been able to guess what happened and correct them.
I think I’m just gonna say it’s asthma if it happens again and anyone asks, it’s similar enough to be passed as (if it’s not…don’t know that’s it not, could be) and far less complicated than trying to explain otherwise, especially as I don’t know what it is! People just assume it’s asthma anyway.

I feel so happy now, it was great to see them all again!
