I seem destined to spend my life permanantly behind…Ah well, I’m used to it! Here goes Thursday:

Thursday started pretty well, the postman brought my birthday present from Lyn which was just what I needed after Wednesday’s events! An excellent card and lovely presents, cheered me up no end 😉

Then Robert, one of the kids from Selworthy, came about 11 o’ clock. We took him up to West Hatch to see the animals. I’ve volunteered up there since I was 8 or 9 (pretty much half my life) so they all know me very well. Karen, whom I’ve known since I started, showed us some baby rabbits (barely 5 weeks old) whom I was able to handle (I got the runt! So tiny!) and two 12 day old syrian hamsters. Obviously off limits to everyone else, I get special treatment 😉 The most exciting part is I’m going to have one of the hamsters when they’re old enough! They’re 3 weeks old now, I’ve seen them get out of the nest and open their eyes – all very exciting. They’re going to be either black and white or brown and white…
I do have a few very bad pictures but dad has lost the camera software so I can’t get them off the camera at the moment! I’ll post them as soon as possible.

Then we came home and Robert helped to get the lunch. After lunch Robert made some cakes, assisted by mum and me. His mum and dad came to pick him up at about 3:30pm and they had a drink and a cake before taking him home.

Robert’s mum will give us a ring when they come back from holiday so we can arrange for him to come again.
