Ok, here comes the Friday before last (at last!), the 23rd.

I went up to Selworthy at 12:30pm for the Leavers Service. It was playtime, so two of them took me for a walk round the playground. Then one of the others took me for another walk round! At 2pm we all went into the hall for the service. As it was the last day of term before the leavers bit the headmaster presented some of them with trophies, one of the boys in Di’s class got one, as did the twins. They were thrilled with them!
Then 5 that were leaving were all given their \”folders of achievement\” and a little present (which I think was an England watch) as well as a bouquet of flowers for their respective mothers.

After the service we all went back to the classroom for a drink, and everyone chatted and said goodbye. Phil introduced mum and I to Robert’s parents and we exchanged phone numbers so we could meet up in the holidays.

When everybody had gone we helped Di, Di, Phil and Jayne pack up the remainder of the classroom (see 23rd’s entry about the chairs in wheelbarrows ;)) before coming home.
