Too Busy to Blog?

21 June, 2004

Whenever I have nothing to write about I have plenty of time because I haven’t done anything (obviously if I have nothing to say).

When I’m being ultra productive and have lots to write about I’m too busy being productive to do so!

Anyway, had a couple of really productive days as far as TDP goes, very pleased with myself coz I’ve cleared a lot of the backlog! 😀

Hospital again

19 June, 2004

Hospital was…interesting. Really I was far too poorly to go and thus I don’t remember any of it 😆 But basically it wasn’t to \”meet the team\” at all, but to meet the other consultant because mine is retiring.

He wanted me to come into hospital for MORE x-rays (I swear I shall glow soon!), this morning a letter arrived from the hospital (very prompt) but someone seems to have got their wires crossed so nothing to report there at the moment either!

It’s so nice now it’s cooler, though. Ahhh…

Cannington

17 June, 2004

Good day all 😀 I think I’ll probably make it a regular thing where I don’t usually write anything on Wednesday (college – long day by my standards) and then do that on Thursday. So!

Twas a superhuman effort yesterday – at one point just before we were going to go I collapsed on the bed and thought \”I can’t do this\” but willpower is a wonderful thing 😉

As it’s my birthday on Tuesday and there wasn’t going to be any Cannington next Wednesday (though there is now – change of plan yesterday) we took cake. Totally unexpectedly they gave me a present and card!

It was a really good day, lots of animal stuff and my inhaler works! Always useful…

Got my hospital appointment to \”meet the team\” tomorrow 😮

lots of bits and pieces

15 June, 2004

I just realised my time is off by a few hours – it would be perfectly logical to be typing about how tired I was at past 1am, however I would just like to point out I was not up that late and the time on most entries (a couple I remembered to correct) is off 😆

I’ll see if I can fix it, sooner or later! Anyway, I have 5 days (plus today) to catch up on so let’s see…

Friday and Saturday I have nothing to report, that was easy 😀 Just resting lots and lots after Crealy.

Over the last couple of weeks two of our near neighbours have moved out and we now have new ones. So on Sunday our next door neighbours (who have lived here almost 20 years I think) invited us and the two new couples to their house to meet each other.

Didn’t really talk to one of them, but the other are so nice! They’re quite newly married, mid to late 20s I think. Animal people and they want to get a Golden Retriever puppy! I’m very excited about that 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be able to see it lots! It won’t be for at least a couple of months – they’re going on holiday in August and won’t get it till they get back.

Mum was poorly on Sunday & Monday which resulted in me having to do most of the cooking..etc so that’s why I was (and am!) so tired. She’s better now though, thank goodness!

Today I woke up with the most awful cramps and bloatedness which is a reaction to some newish medication, so that’s fun! I swear I could open a chemist, the amount of medication I have at the moment. Which actually brings me quite neatly on to my next topic – I have my inhaler! Yay.

I have allergies throughout the year (except Autumn, I *think*) and in Spring/Summer it’s particularly bad – I have hayfever on top of dust. Anyhow, among other things (mental note to self, I’ve almost run out of eye drops) I’ve been getting qute wheezy, but now I have an inhaler no more, I hope 🙂

Hmm…college tomorrow, as there isn’t any for me next week (they’re going to Barrington Court – I never go when they go somewhere) we’re going to have an early birthday party tomorrrow. Should be fun 🙂

I’ll just conclude with a bit of showdog news. There’s this really amazing Jack Russell Terrier (who isn’t mine :() called Sunset, I can never beat him unless I get lucky with handlers. In todays show my JRT, Tyler, beat Sunset! And if anything Sunset had the better handler. Tyler then went on to get 3rd in Group! I also Got Winners Bitch with Superstar (4pt major) and then Whizz got Winners Dog/Best of Winners/3rd in Breed for a 4pt major! What an excellent start to the day…

I think that’s quite long enough, so I’ll be back again to haunt you tomorrow, mwahahaha!

Yawn…

Incredibly tired, too tired to put words together in coherent sentences 😆

Same goes for the last couple of days 😉

Crealy

10 June, 2004

Well, yesterday was Crealy day!

Twas the most fabulous time ever 🙂 We followed the Selworthy (special needs school I go to Cannington College with and who invited me on this trip) coach up to Crealy and arrived some time between 10-11 I think.

We went round all the animals saw a few gorgeous foals and then we actually got to see a newborn foal, still wet and before she’d even stood up! Very exciting. I got thoroughly soaked by a very licky calf and there were some lovely rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, sheep..etc too.

Then we had lunch, got plagued by a very greedy duck and in the afternoon )only about an hour) went on the rides (I was official photo taker as I couldn’t go on any :D). I’m not quite sure who’s bright idea it was to go on them AFTER lunch but it was all ok, somehow!

They went on the \"Tidal Tidal Wave Log Flume (that’s none of them, I stole it off the Crealy website :P) which went down a very steep thing very very fast! Then the Pirate Ship, which is the giant swing boat thing – they’re in lots of places.

Then lastly on the \"El El Pastil Loco Roller Coaster (again, none of them) which was quite a small one and not too bad.

That’s the shortened version 😉 It’s the most fun I’ve had in I don’t know how long!
